Back-to-School Organization Hacks
We hate to be the bearers of bad news, but… school is quickly approaching. While we may have a few more precious weeks of summer sun, it’s about time we begin to prep for the year of school ahead. The next few posts will be dedicated to some tips and tricks that will make back-to-school season a whole lot easier to handle. If you’re looking for some life hacks that will save you time, money, and drama, stay tuned for our back-to-school series!
1. Revamp your in-house study space!
With school comes homework (and, lots of it)! So, prepare your home and equip your kids with a new study space stocked up with supplies. We love this DIY supply caddy idea, because it gives your students everything they’ll need to tackle big assignments in a way that makes things portable for studying around the house and on the go!
2. Prepare for packed lunches now!
In order to guarantee your lunch packing game is strong, shop for new lunch boxes and Tupperware sooner rather than later. Think through all of the possibilities (salads, soups, sandwiches, stir fry, etc.) and make sure you’ve got the right containers to send your kids off in style. If you want to go above and beyond, consider back-to-school water bottles too! Trust us, don’t wait on this one!
3. Set up a family calendar in a central location!
If you haven’t already, consider adding a family calendar in a central location to your home! This calendar should keep track of important dates that involve the whole family like appointments, picture day, soccer games, and carpooling duties. Organization is key key key if we’re hoping for a smooth transition into school this fall!
4. Add a grab and go snack station!
Sometimes, hectic mornings are just impossible to avoid. Adding a small snack station like this one will make last minute lunch packing a little less crazy and a little more glamorous!
